CUlinary Gems ✻ QUAiNT FOOD SHOPS ✻ FARMERS MARKETS
Flavors of Paris tours are highly personal, carefully vetted walking/tasting tours of some of Paris’ most charming, and pleasurable local food shops. We’ll introduce you to a representative sampling of French foods in the delightful quarter of St-Germain-des-Prés, with all the tastings included.
We will stroll around the Latin quarter of Paris and visit local shops, markets and cafés sampling the finest in French fare, from the simplest crisp-crusted baguettes and velvety chocolates to exquisite olive oils, and (of course!) memorable variations on the age-old theme of great wine and fabulous cheeses.
Our tours vary with the season; at each stop, we’ll fascinate and delight you with what you’re tasting, as we share wonderful stories about the local cuisine and lively historical anecdotes about the quarter’s restaurants, cafés and points of interest. (When you’re done, consider yourself a “Germanopratin”, or an honorary native of Saint-Germain.)
Tour fee: 99 Euros including tastings
Tour length: approximately 3 ½ hours
Do you enjoy sweet sensations? Then we have just the tour for you. Our natural affection for the foods of Paris really peaks when we think of escorting you to the delicious, hidden treasures of St Germain. With us as your guide, you’ll discover elegant pastries, silky, full-bodied chocolates and the delights of a tiny, quaint “viennoiserie,” home to amazing Alsatian strudel—and that’s just the beginning.
We’ll guide you to a splendid crêperie whose house delicacy features a crêpe with home-made salted caramel sauce and a glass of cider. And there’s more … tempted? Succumb—and join us: we can’t resist either!
Tour fee: 75 Euros including tastings

Do you ever feel a little lost when ordering wines in a French restaurant? We’re here to help you find your way with a tasting tour and seminar of the wine regions of France.
You are invited to an informal dinner party in a private, Parisian apartment where you’ll sample wines from the different wine growing regions of France. From Chardonnay, the queen of the whites, to the king of the reds in Bordeaux, you’ll learn about their characteristics, what sets them apart, and how to pair them. This tasting seminar includes 7 excellent wines, cheese, charcuterie and bread. A booklet of what you covered is yours to keep after the seminar as a guide and souvenir.
Tour fee: 148 Euros including tastings
Tour length: approximately 3 ½ hours
We’re happy to do private and special group tours with customized itineraries, tasting events, and dinners.
How about a group dinner in an intimate restaurant with a visit from the chef, or a guided tasting of French, Iranian and Russian caviar with champagne?
Whether your group is large or small, corporate or a family affair, we can provide you with an itinerary or event tailored to your interests and your budget.
All you need to do is contact us by phone or email with your enquiry. We’ll get back right back to you, and furnish you with a quote and suggestions for a truly, memorable gastronomic experience.

Our passion is simple: to share with our patrons the flavors of the Paris we know and
love—the family-run food shops, the off-the-beaten-track gems of daily Paris life, and the ʻin the knowʼ artisanal offerings that we’ve discovered, one at a time.
Flavors of Paris is not just about new taste sensations—itʼs about the unforgettable theatre of the French love of food, as the Parisians themselves live it, and as they weigh the dayʼs pleasures of the table.
Launching Flavors of Paris was an easy choice for the founder, Lisa Rankin because the company combines all of Lisa’s passions . . . her love of Paris, French culture, and great food and wine.
Ever since she was a little tike in Canada, Lisa has had a passion for Paris, and all things Parisian. Maybe it began with the Madeleine books that she read when she was little and was captivated by the stories and the drawings. An artist at heart; food for Lisa is more than sustenance, it is a form of artistic creation, of pleasure, a way to share and socialize, and discover other cultures.

Camilla Radford - Furman worked for the largest wine distributor in the United States, in California for 12 years, in the on-sale market, consulting and selling wines to hotels and restaurants.
She has an extensive background in tasting, pairing and promoting wines, so, when she moved to France, it was a wonderful opportunity to use her wine knowledge to help the expat community and also her English teaching skills to her new French friends!
It is now her joy to help people navigate the wine regions France, and help expand wine knowledge by understanding how to buy and enjoy French wines!
My husband and I and our three high school children all felt this was by far one of the best highlights of our trip. It's fun to do all the "touristy" things when in Paris but Lisa gives you such a great insight into why people love Paris: the food! It's just fun to walk through all the side streets and experience local flavors. She even taught us "proper cheese and wine etiquette". Well worth every cent spent.
Excellent and unique!
It was special from start to finish. Bakery, specialty food shops, chocolatier and the highlight a visit to an indoor market where a cheese monger prepares a tasting menu for you! It was a work of art! Wow. Truly off the beaten path (or off the beaten tourist path). Shop owners were friendly and engaging - all of them knew our tour guide Lisa and welcomed us. The tour wraps up with tasting of cheese, pate (from famous butcher) and glass of wine - a lovely time. The tour not only exposes you to a slice of Parisian life but you really get a feel for St Germain area. I felt like it was a real value. Our tour guide Lisa's demeanor was perfect - professional yet friendly which I appreciate. She wanted us to experience something special and we did! Thank you, Lisa. I have such fond memories of those 3 hours. I highly recommend Flavors of Paris!

Highlight of our trip.
This walking tour was the highlight of our trip. Our main guide was Camilla and Lisa joined us part way through. Both women are full of interesting tidbits and it was obvious that Lisa is well known to all the vendors. At each location we were treated like VIP's. We were able to taste some amazing foods and ask questions of the proprietors.

This was a great way to learn about the history of St. Germain, stop into some stores that we would have otherwise never even glanced at, and to try some amazing food!
Thank you Lisa for giving us a great tour, answering all our questions, and giving us one of the best experiences while in Paris!
