About Us

Our passion is simple: to share with our patrons the flavors of the Paris we know and
love—the family-run food shops, the off-the-beaten-track gems of daily Paris life, and the ʻin the knowʼ artisanal offerings that we’ve discovered, one at a time.

Flavors of Paris is not just about new taste sensations—itʼs about the unforgettable theatre of the French love of food, as the Parisians themselves live it, and as they weigh the dayʼs pleasures of the table.

Launching Flavors of Paris was an easy choice for the founder, Lisa Rankin because the company combines all of Lisa’s passions . . . her love of Paris, French culture, and great food and wine.

Ever since she was a little tike in Canada, Lisa has had a passion for Paris, and all things Parisian. Maybe it began with the Madeleine books that she read when she was little and was captivated by the stories and the drawings. An artist at heart; food for Lisa is more than sustenance, it is a form of artistic creation, of pleasure, a way to share and socialize, and discover other cultures.

NAVIGATING PARISIAN FOOD: FLAVORS OF PARIS GASTRONOMIC TOUR - I Ate My Way Through Blog - July 2018 by Christina Guo

I’ve always been an advocate of using food tours as a way to get introduced to a city and Lisa Rankin, Canadian founder of Flavors of Paris, is the sort of person you want to take you around. She’s sunny, bubbly and has obvious rapport with all the shop owners, Lisa spent six weeks wandering around Paris crafting the tour itinerary and brings the perspective of someone who has lived eight years in Paris but still possesses a tourist’s curiosity. Read the full article

Testimonials

Fabulous walking tour of St. Germain in Paris. Lisa was extremely attentive to each member of the group (about 6) and introduced us to wonderful new foods and flavors. The shops with which she partners did a fantastic job with their presentations and ensured that each individual was enjoying their personal experience. And along the way, we learned some history and saw interesting landmarks (like, where the guillotine was perfected!). Quite a memorable experience!

I took the Original Flavors of Paris tour last week and enjoyed it very much. Our guide Lisa, was fabulous. Extremely knowledgeable about the neighborhood and passionate about her job as a guide! Her historical and cultural info really drew me in! We of course tasted some fabulous foods that will not be forgotten as well! From the ice cream to the croissants, the olive oils, cheese, hot chocolate and macarons, I truly enjoyed my time on this tour! Highly recommended!
