The Art Nouveau movement blossomed during the “Belle Epoque”. It quickly spread through art, design, jewelry, furniture and even architecture.

The most beautiful metro entrances in Paris in the style of Art Nouveau are the creations of Hector Guimard. An Architect whose uncompromised vision was to bring Art Nouveau into people’s lives.

This tour will take you to the “chic” and gorgeous 16th arrondissement where Guimard lived and built superb Art Nouveau townhouses and buildings for people of all social classes. You will also see Art Déco buildings and learn to differentiate the two styles.

THE RISE OF NAPOLEON

Travel back in time and understand how one of the youngest (He was only 24 years old) and most victorious generals of the French Revolution rose to power and ultimately crowned himself Emperor at Notre-Dame.

On this journey, we will take you where Napoleon married the love of his life: Josephine; where he wined and dined her; where he saved the French revolution and made himself a national hero; and where he worked to reinvent and modernize France. You will get a glimpse of his vision as a Head of State and the imprint he left on Paris’ architecture.

U.S. FOUNDING FATHERS

During the years leading up to the French Revolution, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson lived in Paris. These great men made history in the United States and also impacted the history of France. Find out why the American colonies sent such high profile ambassadors to Paris.

Walk in the footsteps of these Founding Fathers, along other figures who took part in the American War of Independance: Lafayette, Rochambeau, Thomas Paine, John Paul Jones and more.

You’ll see where they lived and died, where they dined and socialized, and were even imprisoned. We’ll also explore decisive events such as the Treaty of Independence and the Louisiana Purchase.
